The Breakout Hack | Beauty Brand Campaign

Service

Creative Production

THE BREAKOUT HACK PARTNERED WITH THE CONCIERGE AGENCY TO DEVELOP A CAMPAIGN PLATFORM ROOTED IN A SIMPLE TRUTH: BREAKOUTS DON’T STOP AT THE FACE. AND NEITHER DOES SKIN CARE.

The Concierge Agency was engaged as lead beauty brand campaign agency for The Breakout Hack’s debut brand campaign responsible for creative direction, full shoot production, and final asset delivery.

The campaign platform was built on a single insight: skin care doesn’t stop at the face, and neither should the conversation around breakouts. Rebound – The Breakout Hack’s hero body SKU – needed a campaign that extended the brand’s acne-positive positioning beyond the bathroom mirror and into a broader, body-confident world.

The creative direction leaned into warmth, accessibility, and unfiltered confidence. A pink-tiled bathroom environment anchored the hero aesthetic – familiar, intimate, and unapologetically feminine – while pastel tones and lifestyle talent kept the work feeling real rather than aspirational. Materials, set design, and talent direction were developed in-house by our Sydney production team, with assets built specifically for digital, social, and retail touchpoints.

The Production

Full production coordination across creative, talent, set design, and post — delivered end-to-end from our Sydney base. Every asset was engineered for consistency across the brand’s full channel mix, giving The Breakout Hack a visual identity ready to scale.

Approach

The Concierge Agency led creative direction and full production for The Breakout Hack, from concept through to delivery, as the beauty brand campaign agency behind their Skin Care for Your Birthday Suit platform.

Pre-production centred on building a campaign world rooted in the bathroom as a space of quiet confidence: product use that feels intentional, calm, and contemporary. Not corrective. A custom-built bathroom set anchored the visual language in minimalism with a playful attention to detail. Clean compositions, glossy surfaces, and spaces that feel considered rather than styled.

Casting was intentional from the start. Rather than sourcing traditional talent, we ran an open call for real people with real skin – reaching the community directly through social media and hosting in-person castings at York St Brands HQ. The result was a cast that brought genuine skin stories to the campaign, grounding the platform’s ethos in authenticity rather than aspiration.

Colour was tightly controlled through the brand palette. Blush tones, skin-inspired pinks, and warm neutrals creating visual consistency across every asset. Talent was styled simply and confidently: natural, glowing skin, fun poppy bathrobes, and relaxed loungewear, keeping the focus firmly on skin, product, and daily routine.

Framing favoured close crops and body-led compositions, shifting between detail and form without distraction. Props and set elements were purposeful and restrained, supporting the ritual rather than decorating it. Stills led the range storytelling, while motion added texture, rhythm, and progression across the full body care range.

The final content suite gave The Breakout Hack a cohesive visual system built for retail, D2C, and social – scalable across current and future category launches.

TCA were integral to bringing our body care campaign to life, supporting everything from creative direction and customer casting through to the finalisation of our product and campaign assets. The whole process was seamless, with great communication, real attention to detail, and incredible creative output from Renee and the team. Emma Ridehalgh - Head Of Brand
