the breakout hack: Hotel Rebound

The Breakout Hack (formerly known as TBH Skincare) partnered with TCA to launch the Rebound collection, a range designed to become the ritual you keep coming back to. The brief was to introduce the products not just as skincare essentials, but as a daily indulgence. Drawing on the theme of a hotel stay, the campaign transformed self-care into an immersive experience, positioning Hotel Rebound as a destination where audiences could check in, recharge, and return to themselves, again and again.
Set within the backdrop of a hotel, complete with a bespoke TBH-branded lobby build, the campaign brought to life the Rebound experience behind the brand’s reformulated range. TCA’s production team worked in close collaboration with brand ambassadors, the founder and model talent, each cast as characters inhabiting this imagined hotel world. The result was an immersive narrative – Hotel Rebound, that invited audiences to check in, linger, and embrace moments of self-care and indulgence in true TBH style.
From launch to cult hero, Rebound quickly became more than just a skincare line, it became a movement. In its debut, the Rebound Serum racked up 28,000 people on its waitlist in just three days. Audience demand was so strong that TBH later made a strategic decision to cut the price by $10, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to accessibility even as momentum soared.
And socially, the Rebound narrative has found footing: it’s been turned into limited-edition bundles (e.g. Hotel Rebound) and even card games that invite fans deeper into the ritual. In short: the campaign didn’t just deliver visual storytelling, it helped catapult TBH’s new range into the hearts (and routines) of its audience. Interactions, conversions, buzz and brand affinity all moved upward.
